More about the Twisters

Hello 2012 Boys Soccer Parents:

 

My name is Jeff Hill and I am the current 2012 Twisters boys travel soccer coach.  I have over 27 years of coaching experience and also serve as the Director of TSC Soccer. My credentials include a National D License and a National Coaches Association Goal Keepers License. I have led several teams to earn ICSL league and tournament titles.

 

Last year, the Twisters placed 2nd at the Al Perlini Tournament held over Labor Day weekend. The team also won the division 4 (7v7) title in their inaugural season playing competitive soccer in the ICSL league. Next season, the Twisters will play 9v9 (standard for the U11 age group) and move up to division 3. During the 2022-2023 season I am looking to improve the player’s soccer ability, fitness, and endurance while promoting good sportsmanship and teamwork. Most importantly, I want the boys to have fun and to develop a love for the game.

 

I would like to invite your soccer player to the 2022/2023 TSC travel soccer team tryouts. Dates and times will be kept up-to-date on the TYA website: https://tyasports.org/soccer/twisters/

 

April 20 - Plains Mennonite Church - 6:15 to 7:30

April 22 - Grist Mill (field 5) - 6:15 to 7:30

April 29 - Grist Mill (field 5) - 6:15 pm 7:30

May 1 -   Christopher Dock Turf Field - 2:30pm to 4:00pm

 

I would encourage all new players to attend 3 tryouts and returning players to attend 2. You must wear cleats, socks, shin guards, shorts, and a shirt with a number on the back (if you have one).  Please do not wear a TSC travel uniform shirt. Bring a water bottle and a ball. With the team moving to 9v9, we will look to carry a total of 15 players for the next season.

 

The costs for travel soccer are as follows:

  • All TSC players MUST register prior to tryouts. The registration for travel or recreation level soccer is $130. Full refunds will be granted if a player chooses not to play.
  • If selected to a travel team, there is an additional travel fee of $95 to be paid at a later date. This will be collected by the team treasurer.
  • Trainings or tournaments may be organized throughout the summer and fall. These fees vary by event and will be collected by the team treasurer.
  • Each player will also need to purchase a team uniform that consists of 2 jerseys, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of socks, and a practice shirt. The cost for uniforms is approximately $125 this season. More information will be provided after the team is chosen.
