2014 Thunder

The TSC 2014 Thunder girls team is coached by Justin Lukens & Rick King. Our team is composed of girls that are athletic and focused on playing soccer competitively. Players on this team were born in 2014 and practice twice a week with games on weekends. Additional specialized and targeted trainings occur during summer months. We are a year round team playing Fall, Winter (indoor), Spring and Summer leagues and tournaments. Tryouts for this team occur every Spring.

The team is looking for 1-2 talented players with travel experience, specifically midfielders.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

At TSC, we support players being involved in other activities and sports. Players on the current team participate in dance, theater, basketball, and other school activities. Both Coach Justin and Coach Rick fully support this with the goal of developing well rounded student athletes.

The team’s playing style is developed based on player talent and the coaches preferred philosophies of the game. The team currently plays a hybrid of playing out of the back via short passing combined with an open and free style allowing ball movement to skip layers. Over the next year the team will begin to intertwine methodology similar to Total Football in which players are given more individual responsibility on the field. The 2014 Thunder pride ourselves on a stout defense and aggressive style of play.
