Senior Coach Pitch

Coach Pitch is for 7 and 8-year-old girls. The Coach Pitch Division is aptly named -- it is entirely pitched by coaches. Coach Pitch is set up as a fun instructional division but includes some competitive aspects to help get the girls prepared for the next level of play – Minors softball.

Emphasis is on building upon the basic skills developed in Soft T-ball, while increasing a player’s knowledge of the game. Scores and standings are recorded, and playoff activities are held. Coaches are involved on the field during games. There may be opportunities for playing 1 to 2 away games against other local coach pitch intramural teams in the area.

Girls are encouraged to attend and be active participants in all the events during TYA All-Star Day. The Soft T-Ball crew typically conducts a skills challenge for the girls that offers some fun skill activities and occasionally some prizes. The Coach Pitch girls will hold a “graduation game” for all players who are moving up to the Minors Division next season. This offers an opportunity to mix things up with the other teams and showcase their skills.
