Minor Softball (10U)

The Minors Division represents our entry level division of competition. Minor level players begin to transition from a “developmental” format of coaching and play to a more competitive format. The beginning of the season includes intermittent coach pitching; toward the end of the season, the girls will handle it on their own.

Athletes in the Minors league are often very diverse in terms of fundamental abilities, knowledge of the game, and competitive experience. This is why TSC chooses a “Selection Style” approach to building team rosters – enabling us to “balance” skills across all teams in the division. Prior to the start of the season, the players will participate in a "player evaluation day”.  Coaches will evaluate each girl's batting, fielding, throwing, and pitching skills (if requested). Coaches then form team rosters based on the evaluation day player ratings -- as well as general knowledge about the player from previous year's coaches.

Teams in our Minors program play the majority of their regular season games against "in-house" teams, while a few games are played on the road against nearby towns.  This helps to build a more competitive spirit amongst the teams. It also helps players prepare for the next level of play where traditionally half of the season is played on the road.

Scores and team standings are recorded at the Minors level. A tournament or playoff is held at the end of the season to determine a division champion. Minors is the youngest division where players are eligible to play on the team of "All Stars" that will compete in the Little League District 22 tournament at the end of June. For more information, click here to go to the Little League Pennsylvania site: https://padistrict22ll.website.siplay.com/
