The site of the event was Tampa, Florida, and as you would expect during these summer months, the team persevered through the hot sun and temperatures hovering close to the hundred degree mark.

This U19 squad is the first girls team in TSC history to EVER qualify and compete at this level. Are we proud? Damn right!

This competition was the culmination of a year-long journey to get to The National Presidents Cup, and the Tornadoes were excited to represent the East in this competition. It is not surprising that the girls received many compliments on their talent, their sportsmanship and their competitive spirit from several of the competing coaches at the tournament. This U19 squad represented themselves, our club and youth sports like national champs should. Our many accolades go to the entire team!

Sadly, the President Cup National event marks the end of an era for the Tornadoes as many of the older girls will be moving on to college. But we are happy to report that out of 10 graduating high school seniors, 5 will be continuing to play soccer at the collegiate level. These individuals include:

Lily McGee – Immaculata University

Our best wishes go out to the graduating seniors, as well as the younger girls who will hopefully continue to play at TSC.

The athletes, their parents and coaches want to give special recognition to several sponsors who provided the Tornadoes with financial support.
