Last year was challenging. It was oftimes chaotic. And it was a frustrating time for a lot of people -- and businesses.
TYA was not immune. Baseball was cancelled. Softball was stopped. And while fall soccer and basketball were able to get off the ground (late), our registration numbers suffered due to COVID-19 restrictions. But throughout it all, we were able to count on several groups: our TYA families, our TYA volunteers, and -- especially -- our TYA sponsors.
Many of our local sponsors are small, family-owned businesses. And they suffered along with us. Many were shut down. Others were able to stay open with reduced hours and limited staff. All of them faced trying times as they attempted to weather the storm of 2020.
The amazing part? Forty-three sponsors came forward last year to support TYA, providing needed funding to help us continue our programs and sports activities. Now, we'd like to take this time to salute them. And to thank them for their generosity and support.
To demonstrate our sincere thanks, we have placed two large banners at the corner of Allentown and Forty Foot Roads. They say "Thank You 2020 Sponsors" and list the 43 companies and organizations who helped us last year. As you pass these signs, we hope our TYA families will take note of these businesses and continue to support them as an intergral part of our organization -- and the surrounding community.
